CONTEXT (EN)
This project suggests that to learn about nature is first to feel – to look, hear and feel beyond our individual selves. Learning food-growing and gardening can be a deeply transformational practice for the individual consciousness and for the planet Earth.
Ecosystemic intelligence – thinking and feeling like an ecosystem – is both a personal disposition and a type of distributed, collective orientation with a swarming effect – tilted towards healing and renewal. The idea of cultivating ecosystemic intelligence is already embedded in permaculture and agroecology education, even if they do not call it by this name, and can be integrated into public education.
The film “Indeed, it was a paradise” is a poetic metaphor of the ongoing destruction of the planet’s Earth abundant biodiversity habitats, which we all know about. This visual story using the lense of a small nature reserve, contrasts scenes of lush garden commons with unanalysed robotic destruction. It asks whether our longing for mastery and growth needs to be so fatal: “Can growth be redirected towards non-acquisitive search for deeper knowledge of self and nature?”
The project suggests that the economic transformation needs to go hand in hand with the inner re-evaluation of our ethical and spiritual relationship with the land, the Mother Earth, and with ourselves. “Indeed, it can be a paradise again”. The wisdom is within us.
Look, Hear and Feel – anew and afresh. We can all act upon this now. “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for”.

CONTEXT (PL)
Projekt sugeruje, że poznawanie natury to przede wszystkim odczuwanie – patrzenie, słyszenie i wczuwanie się w świat poza samym sobą. Nauka uprawy żywności i ogrodnictwa może być zatem praktyką głęboko transformującą świadomość, zarówno dla indywidualnej osoby, jak i dla planety Ziemi.
Inteligencja ekosystemowa – czyli zdolność myślenia i czucia jak ekosystem – jest zarówno osobistą predyspozycją, pewnym światopoglądem, jak i rodzajem rozproszonej, kolektywnej orientacji z efektem pszczelego roju – nastawionej na uzdrawianie i odnowę. Idea pielęgnowania ekosystemowej inteligencji jest mocno osadzona w podejściach edukacyjnych permakultury i agroekologii – nawet jeśli tak jej tak nie nazywają- i może być doskonale zintegrowana z publiczną edukacją.
Film „Indeed, it was a paradise” (PL: “Rzeczywiście, to był raj”) jest poetycką metaforą postępującego niszczenia bogatych w bioróżnorodność siedlisk na naszej planecie, o którym wszyscy wiemy. Ta wizualna opowieść używając pryzmatu małego rezerwatu przyrody, kontrastuje sceny bujnego ogrodu z bezrefleksyjną, robotyczną niemal destrukcją. Pyta, czy nasze lgnięcie do kontroli i rozwoju musi być tak fatalne w skutkach: „Czy wzrost można przekierować w stronę niewyczerpywalnych, o wiele głębszych odkryć i wiedzy o człowieku i naturze?”
W projekcie przebija się przesłanie, że transformacja gospodarcza może – a być może musi – iść w parze z wewnętrznym przewartościowaniem naszej etycznej i duchowej relacji z Matką Ziemią, z glebą i z nami samymi. „Rzeczywiście, nadal może być tu raj”. Mamy w sobie mądrość by go zobaczyć.
Patrzeć, słyszeć i czuć – bezustannie na nowo. To działanie, które może podjąć każdy z nas. „Jesteśmy tymi, na których czekaliśmy”.
