Until 31/07/2022 you can add your voice to the consultation of the Agroecology Declaration, a document that defines Agroecology in the Polish context.
DECLARATION
It is an attempt to defend the holistic agroecology principles, a complex vision of the transformation of agriculture and agri-food systems, which takes into account their social, ecological, economic and political aspects and opposes the cyclical, utilitarian and fragmentary use of this concept for naming practices that cement the status quo of systems food. It is also an attempt to define how the concept of agroecology can respond to specifically Polish problems and needs.
PROCESS
The process of work on the Declaration of Agroecology was started in 2019 by a group of 20 participants of the first 10-day training in agroecology “Agro-Perma-Lab” at the Ecological Folk Highschool, in cooperation with Schola Campesina. For the consecutive two years (2020-2022), work was carried out on the content of the declaration, including during the work of the working group at the II Food Sovereignty Forum; The Living Earth Coalition undertook the creation and finalisation of the document.
